1.     Assessment of Children’s Knowledge of Basic Conceptual Systems (BCS) – Comprehensive - Part I Identification and Part II Abstraction.

The administration of the Assessment of Children’s Knowledge of Basic Conceptual Systems – Comprehensive (ACKBCS-Comprehensive) provides a comprehensive inventory of a child’s development of the knowledge and use of BCS and their respective conceptual vocabulary. As with the Screening version, the ACKBCS-Comprehensive version uses a combination of pictures and objects as stimulus, divided into two sections: Part I. Identification and, Part II: Abstraction. Each Part contains 75 items, covering concepts from within each of the Basic Conceptual Systems of Color, Shape, Size, Number, Symbol, Position, Place, Function/Use, Surface Pattern, Direction, Material, Surface Property, Weight, Temperature and Time.
